Manual Therapy

Manual therapy involves a range of specialized techniques that our therapists have undergone extensive training to master. This approach includes spinal and joint mobilization, manipulation, myofascial release, and muscle energy techniques. For optimal results, manual therapy is best provided in a relaxed, one-on-one setting with an experienced therapist.

Functional Dry Needling

Dry needling promotes healing and alleviates pain by reducing muscle tightness, enhancing joint mobility, and addressing movement issues by releasing trigger point adhesions. The technique produces a twitch response, a localized reflex in the affected area, which helps normalize muscle function. This response releases inflammatory substances from the trigger point and improves blood flow to the region, supporting recovery.

Blood Flow Restriction Therapy

Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR) is a safe and effective method to enhance muscle size and strength using an FDA-approved tourniquet system. By applying BFR, individuals can achieve the effects of heavy resistance training while using only very light weights.

Cupping

Soft tissue cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction cups placed on the skin to create negative pressure. This process lifts and separates soft tissues, promoting increased blood flow, reducing muscle tension, and encouraging lymphatic drainage. The benefits of soft tissue cupping include reduced pain, improved range of motion, faster recovery from muscle soreness, and relief from deep-seated tension.

Functional Movement Screening

The “Prevent” in Prevent & Restore! The Functional Movement Screening (FMS) is a tool used to assess movement patterns to identify mobility, stability, and flexibility issues. By performing a series of standardized movements, individuals can pinpoint weaknesses or imbalances that may increase their risk of injury. The FMS helps trainers, therapists, and coaches develop personalized programs that address these limitations, enhance functional performance, and improve overall movement efficiency.

Exercise Performance and Programming

At Prevent & Restore PT you get access to a rehab professional and a certified strength specialist all in one. The CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification, offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), is a prestigious credential for fitness professionals. It ensures that individuals are skilled in developing and implementing science-based training programs to improve athletic performance and reduce injury risk. CSCS-certified professionals are highly qualified to create specialized exercise prescriptions for athletes and individuals of all fitness levels.

Not only do we improve your pain and reduce your symptoms, but we address the root cause of the issue and work to make your body more resilient in order to prevent further injuries.

Cost Transparency

You'll Never Get a Bill From Us Months Later After Your Visit

Unlike many physical therapy clinics- you won’t get any bills months following finishing PT. With Prevent & Restore Physical Therapy you will never be surprised by a bill you were not anticipating.

Relatability

We Understand the Demands of Your Life and/or Sport

We walk the talk! As physical therapists who exercise and participate in a large variety of activities/sports ourselves we understand what it takes. While many physicians and physical therapists will simply tell you to stop your desired activity we understand that avoiding the things that you enjoy most because of an injury is no way to live. Because of our background we know the importance of keeping you in the activities you love and we find ways to modify your training so you can stay in your sport throughout the rehab process.
